The Hyperbole of Buffoons

It is difficult to deal with anything beyond the statements that emerge in a never ending stream of baseless hyperbole.  However, I am compelled to add a further comment to my previous post about the Zelensky -Trump/Vance White House debacle.

There is an excellent assessment in this article, "The War Trump Chooses" by Timothy Snider, forwarded to me by comrade-in-arms, Andrew Bradie.

Aside from its systematic dismantling of the Trump and Vance statements, it gives credence to the opinion I have had of Vance for some time.

Namely, he is narrow-minded like Trump and preaches his narrow-mindedness as gospel.

This is possibly the scariest thing about both of these buffoons - that have no sense of their own ignorance. Their view of the world is based on the channels they watch, not on any sense of history or an effort to understand what is actually happening on the ground.

Their faith in Putin is confounding. Like Trump, he is a convicted (international) criminal. If his lips are moving he is lying. It is beyond naive to trust an aggressor so brazen in his behaviour to anyone who opposes him, as evidenced in his actions to continue the war while a "diplomatic" solution is supposedly being considered.

Although the more civilized world sees through all the nonsense, most leaders are too civilized to call it for what it is. Everyone is on the defensive, running around chasing statements and pronouncements. From Canada's perspective we need to strengthen our offense and deal with what is actually actioned as policy with our own sustainable, well thought out actions.

I intend to get to actions in this blog, but, evidently like everyone else, I am caught up in and incredulous, as I try to make sense of the nonsense.
